Anil Dash is now director of ExpertLabs. ExpertLabs is a new independent initiative to help policy makers in our government take advantage of the expertise of their fellow citizens. EGov? Well, not really, because it's not a government group. With support from a $500,000 grant from the Mac Arthur Foundation, the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and their Policy Innovation Network has launched Expert Labs as a nonpartisan, independent project that aims to improve the policy-making process by engaging experts and technologists.

Mar'2010: Gina Trapani has joined and brought her Think Tank application (Universal Inbox?).

Jul'2010: Think Tank has been renamed ThinkUp.

Mar'2012: ExpertLabs is shutting down, and ThinkUp is now the basis for a new Start Up. They're hoping to win the Knight News Challenge to provide some funding.
