(2014-09-17) Bittorrent Bleep Messaging

BitTorrent is working on a Bleep P2P VoIP and Instant Messaging app. It's now in public Alpha stage. It's serverless with end-to-end encryption (Messaging Security). It can't send to Off-Line users.

The first, closed version of the service, then simply called BitTorrent Chat, was launched in September 2013.

Dec22 update: now supports Off-Line use via its Distributed Hashtable (as long as the recipient pulls down the message within a few days).

It does not appear to be Open Source.

Update: Bleep was never officially discontinued, but as of August 2017 the website no longer exists.
