Activity Node

Facilities must be grouped densely round very small Public Square-s which can function as nodes - with all Pedestrian movement in the community organized to pass through these nodes. Such nodes require 4 properties:

• draw together main paths in the surrounding community
• keep squares rather small - 45x60ft
• facilities grouped around any 1 node should be symbiotic - support each other - attract the same kinds of people at the same times of day (see Night Life)
• should be distributed throughout the town, so that no house or workplace is more than a few hundred yards from one
