Editing Wiki Nodes Inline

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to tweak a node in a Wiki Page (Node Web, Information Block) In-Line via AJAX, rather than having to do the whole-page edit/type/save/review cycle?

Of course, to add new nodes, or rearrange them, you'd have to go to a more full-page Wiki Editing mode.

I wonder whether being able to address individual nodes pulls along Purple Numbers implementation?
