Rice Cooker
For cooking rice, where you can set/forget, and have it last for 3+ days so it's always available.
2020 - Cuckoo HV0667F
(Translating the manual)
First priority: set the time and turn off the voice!
"Glutinous" rice = Regular rice
I think we have it set to soft=2, sweet=2 → "rice taste number"=6 (it's a 4x4 grid counting upward - starting at 1/1, moving up to sweet=4, then back up to soft=2 and sweet=1....)
- Feb'2023: it's been a little yellow/brown lately, even on top, right after cooking. Since manual says Longer “SWEET” Time: rice becomes tasty (selectable in 4 steps) (melanoizing will occur) - I'm going to assume that means I should lower the Sweet. So I want to go from number 6 to number 5 (1 sweet, 2 soft). The value for sweet and soft is a column of dot-bars on each side of the center-of-display: 1=1row, 2=1row+2row, 3=1row+2row+3row...
Want Pressure Cook, not Turbo (which is faster but not as good).
When finished cooking, "warming will start". Stir right away.
"Standby mode" means it's not cooking/heating at all.
"Power-saving" mode?
"Preset" means program it in the morning to cook later in the day.
How to use “MY MODE”
("Customized Cooked Rice Taste" mode gives you just a few combination options. So don't do that.)
Can't change during cooking, warming and preset time cooking modes.
Longer “SOFT” Time: rice becomes soft and glutinous. (selectable in 4 steps).
Longer “SWEET” Time: rice becomes tasty (selectable in 4 steps) [melanoizing will occur]
First press Menu and Selection at same time? Multiple times until glutinous is selected?
Then press/hold Mode button for 1sec+ -> should "My Mode" in upper right.
Then press left-Menu button to change Soft level, and right-Menu button to change Sweet level. When have both set right, press Set button. Then press Pressure Cook button.
