Squeak Smalltalk
One could argue that SmallTalk missed its chance as ubiquity because the development vendors charged obscene prices.
Alan Kay has led the development of this Open Source (and scalable) version of SmallTalk. The name came in anticipation of Alan's move from Apple to Disney.
Squeak EToys was inspired by Logo , PARC-SmallTalk, HyperCard, and StarLogo. http://squeakland.org/school/HTML/essays/essays.html

Star Squeak [is](http://www.oldenbuettel.de/squeak-doku/Star Squeak-Kernel/Star SqueakMorph.html) a Squeak version of Mitchel Resnick's StarLogo, a simulation environment designed to explore massively parallel simulations with hundreds or thousands of turtles.
