Customize your character (what class do you choose?)

The way we see it, we’re all actually playing a giant game called Life. It’s up to us to gain levels and experience points and reach our true potential. That’s why our tagline here is “Level Up Your Life.” (Real-World Game)

YOUR FIRST QUEST:Choose your Primary Class.

What kind of character/class you want to be in the Game of Life? When I ask you, “WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION!?” how will you answer?

Which of these seven classes do you want to be?

This class system is how we help each other; in fact, our message board community, now over 25,000 strong, is organized into these classes.

By choosing a class, you’re no longer exercising to “lose weight” or “get rid of this gut,” but rather to push you further down the path towards a higher level character!

YOUR SECOND QUEST: Continue your ten minute walk and your one diet change. Let’s focus on these basics – with a solid foundation we can build whatever want..

Your Race is Already Determined

Before you pick your profession, let’s talk about your “race.” Every RPG always has elves, hobbits, ogres, trolls, humans, wood elves, night elves, etc. Each race has their own particular attributes that make them who they are. Take a look in the mirror RIGHT NOW. That’s your race. (aka "type")

These are attributes about yourself that you cannot change immediately, so that’s your starting point. Depending on your “race,” certain professions (classes) will be easier or harder for you to obtain.

Let’s check out the different professions.

Warrior:
Real life example: Any World’s Strongest Man competitor.

Scout:
Scouts can cover great distances in a short amount of time.
Real life example: Marathon runners, Ironman athletes.

Ranger:
Rangers are a hybrid of Warriors and Scouts, built for strength AND endurance.
Training: Lots of weight training but with minimal downtime (think crossfit and 300 training).
Real Life example: Gerard Butler in 300.

Assassin:
To assassins, the world is one giant playground.
Assassins spend most of their time training with functional body weight exercises as that’s usually the only thing they need to lift.
Training: Parkour, free running, rock climbing.
Real World example: Parkour traceurs, free runners, most athletes on Ninja Warrior.

Monk:
Training: MMA, Capoeria, Muay Thai boxing, Tai Kwon Do
Real life example: Georges St. Pierre (MMA fighter).

Druid:
Druids are one with nature. Oftentimes consuming a plant-only diet, they specialize in being one with themselves, finding balance in everything.
Training: meditation, yoga, tai chi
Real life example: Yogis, tai chi instructors

Adventurer: Adventurers haven’t quite picked a path yet – or if they have, they’re still working on gathering the skills to start their work in their profession of choice. These brave souls are not afraid of anything though, and are often found working diligently with their allies to help ensure every adventure leads down the correct path.

My Profession

I was born an elf (thin, tough to build muscle), and I want to be a Warrior/Ranger hybrid…let’s call it a Berzerker class?

Sure, it’d be a much quicker path for me to become a scout (as I already have the body type), but I love getting stronger and training in things that I truly enjoy, so I picked a different direction.
Why?
Because I can, and because it makes me happy.
