Crisis
"What looks like a Crisis is often simply the end of an Illusion." (theater) -Jerry Weinberg (Rhonda’s First Revelation: It May Look Like a Crisis, But It’s Only the End of An Illusion.) - link
A crisis (from the Greek κρίσις - krisis;[1] plural: "crises"; adjectival form: "critical") is any event that is going (or is expected) to lead to an unstable and dangerous situation affecting an individual, group, community, or whole society. Crises are deemed to be negative changes in the security, economic, political, societal, or environmental affairs, especially when they occur abruptly, with little or no warning. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crisis

1976, when M. F. Weiner wrote an article in the journal Medical Economics entitled “Don’t Waste a Crisis — Your Patient’s or Your Own.” Weiner meant by this that a medical crisis can be used to improve aspects of personality, mental health, or lifestyle.
- Maybe this was the origin of "never late a good crisis go to wate"?
- Or maybe Winston Churchill said it?
- Or maybe Machiavelli beat him to it?
